Question:

NJ Driving License Question?

I currently live in Florida and i am 16. I have my Florida license. I am moving to NJ this month and still want to drive. The NJ driving age is 17, whereas Florida is 16. Would I be able to receive a NJ license even though I am not 17? Or, can I just not get a NJ license, and keep my Florida plates, License, etc. Is this illegal? I don't know what to do in this situation.

  1. i would say that you would now have to wait until you are 17. new jersey is pretty strict with the age and driving. you wont be able to drive without a nj license either and yes it is illegal. wait until you turn 17 and then take your written and driving test all over again.

  2. You will have to wait until you are 17 and by law you must surrender your Florida plates and report your new residence.
