Hello,

I have some questions about using a student monthly pass into NY Penn Station.

How do you purchase one? I am not yet a student, so my friend would be purchasing one for me.

Does the pass have the student's photo on it?

When a student presents their pass to do they have to present their photo I.D.?

Any other info. would be appreciated . Thanks!

Oh, by the way, it's a train pass, not a bus pass.

If you log on to NJ transit student monthly pass it will tell you how to get one. Also certain college participate in the discount program, there's also a list of colleges that participate in the program. Plus you can use your pass on the bus or rail

You can get your pass at a ticket sales office or you can order on line from NJT web site. you do not need I.D. when you present the pass but you do need it to purchase the pass.

no photo id but you need a permission slip from the school that you submit to the ticket agent. you may not qualify iuf not enrolled in a school that is part of the progra.
