The new insurance offered to NY (because our rates are the highest in the nation), someone ever use them or have any problems with them? Any advice I would appreciate.

  1. I have tried it myself, here is some good informations.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/aa...

  2. NJ Cure isn't as popular as independant, NJM (New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Group) or State Farm. NJM carries the largest policies in force for the state of New Jersey.

    I've had good results here...

    Good Luck.

  3. OK, NJ Cure is NOT INSURANCE.  It's NOT.  So take the *i* word right out of it.  It's not regulated by the insurance department, it's not guaranteed by the fund.  SO, there's NO GUARANTEE that when claim time comes around, there will actually be any money to pay your claim.

You pay your premium, plus 20% the first year, and plus 10% every subsequent year.  Be sure to factor that in when you're comparing "rates".

    And they don't take everyone.

So, there are risks.  I guess you'll have to see if they'll take you, compare the costs to traditional insurance, and make your decision from there.

  4. They have been in NJ about 15yrs.  It was new when I left there.  The best place to check to see if it is financially sound company would be:  ambest.com  I just looked there & couldn't find it.  Do they go by another name?  Is there a bigger company that owns them?  If they are not rated by AMBest, stay away.
