I have a ZoomBox projector. I've had it for a year and a half. When I was playing it, the screen just shut off, but the button lights and the music still kept playing. So, I thought the light burned out, but then I tried to turn it on a few minutes later, and it worked. So I played for like, two minutes, then it did the same thing! So, I thought played it too much, so I shut it off and left it off all night long. Well, when I played it the next day, it only worked for 5 minutes. But it'll turn back on in a few minutes. I took out the bulb and put it back in again and that didn't help. Is there a short? What's going on? Like I said, only the screen will turn off. Everything else will stay on. What can I do to fix this problem? Where would I take it for service??Please help!!! 10 pts if you help me out!!!!

Thanks!!!! :)

  1. look in the yellow pages.

  2. \\\Yea most likely something is heating up and causing it to shut off, it could be a fuse...take back where you got it from or check your warranty from the manufacturer///

  3. I'm just guessing but my guess is you have faulty current limiting safety switch and it is telling the board that its limit has been exceeded (erroneously) and shuts itself off to prevent damage, even if there is no real problem. Good news, it should be repairable. Bad news, unless you are an electronic repairman, a repair facility is your only option. Go on line, to the manufacturer's website and find a recommended repair shop. And by the way, be prepared to pay, and pay, and pay.

  4. Contact the manufacturer and ask them where you can get it serviced in your area.

  5. i think it's have problem with picture tube.

  6. maybe its not reading

  7. you just need to read the manual book right? just read the book, and it will finish.

  8. my first thought was that it could be an overheating problem, but I dont think it is that anymore. do you hear the fan running even when the light is off?

another thought is that the overheating could have melted a wire which will cause it to only work for short periods of time because of the bad lead.

also, did you check to make sure that the bulb isn't partially blown out, because the lead inside of the light bulb might have deteriorated a little bit and that can cause bulbs to only work for short periods.

  9. hay

i would try getting a new bulb and putting it in to it... i know some think like that happened to my ds light and one of the weirs in the back was loose wich was makeing it short.....so try thows 2 things.......if they do not work try takeing it back to where u got it may be they cn hellp u bacoue it may be in the game its self

  10. have u ried the manual. maby its just a bulb. go to teh web site

  11. Yeah...

It's either overheating... or some part has become damaged or drifted out of spec, causing the protection circuitry to be triggered... or the protection circuitry has become damaged or a part has drifted out of spec, causing it to shut down the lamp due to heat or overload when it shouldn't.

Either way, it's a job for a pro... unfortunately...
