NO weight gain in baby

my 18 month old weighed only 23 pds at 18 month check-up and now is 20 month and hasnt gained an ounce

docs are dismissive,what do YOU think?

  1. I'm sure if the doctor had any concerns about your babies weight he/she would say something to you. I really wouldn't worry too much as all children grow at different rates. As long as your baby is eating well I wouldn't worry too much.

It is only two months.  The doctors check for growth over a period of a year, not two months.  I have a 6 year old that only weighs 39 lbs.  He is not the smallest in his class, although he is close.  All you should be worried about is if he is eating properly and he may not gain weight because he is active.  Relax and talk to your doctor about it at his 2yr visit.
