i recd an email on 16th jun in my yahoo mail box from"Joan Taylor" <[e-mail]. as under:

We are delighted to inform you of your prize release on the 13th JUNE,

2008 from the NOKIA 'N' SERIES NEW YEAR PROGRAM. Your e-mail was

attached to ticket number 1110008342, serial number 6028808. This batch

draws the lucky numbers as follows 4-13-7-37-1 bonus number 20, which

consequently won the lottery in the First category. You hereby have been

approved a lump sum of GBP £1,000,000.00(ONE MILLION GREAT BRITISH

POUNDS) in cash credit file ref NKN/UK 110241/01 from the total cash

prize of GBP £50,000,000.00(FIFTY MILLION GREAT BRITISH POUNDS) shared

amongst 50 (Fifty) lucky winners in this category.

This is a SCAM. The below links confirm various email scams hitting the internet. There is also an online form for the reporting of such  - (with links for your own country.) This site also gives excellent advice on what steps you can take to achieve a spam free inbox :

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Please remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.
