NON prescription COLOURED contact lenses? (SEE BELOW)?

I work in theatre and do a lot of creative things, I recently purchased a pair of freshlook colour contact lenses to change the colour of a girls eyes from blue to brown just for a photo shoot.

Only problem was that the area (colourless part) for the pupil (so you can actually see) was far to big so it didn't cover all of the blue part of her eye and her pupils looked ridiculously large.

Does anyone know where I can get some custom made (so the pupil sections the right size) NON prescription coloured contact lenses (brown, green or blue - natural looking), and how much this would cost?? Thanks everyone!

you can go to the optometrist and they should be able to help you. you can get custom made contact lenses but they do cost a fair bit as they are specially made to the patients specifications. although they may be a plano lens type, the optometrist will still need to measure the eyes so as they will fit her eye perfectly!

I went to the eye doc. He had no problem doing it for me. They were not prescription, but they were custom made just for me. It was expensive, but better for my eyes & worth it.

No contacts are 'non' prescription- you need a dr's prescription to legally be in possession of contacts, due to the risks of infection and/or vision loss.

There are several brands of contacts that might work- a real, well fitted pair of contacts from an ophthalmologist will be made to fit your own eye. In the rare, rare event that a 'standard' contact will absolutely not work, you can use a custom prosthetic coloured contact, which can have any colour imaginable and any pupil size. You can reasonably expect to spend 400/eye.
