NOOOOOOO HELP ME! PLEASE!!!

Question

I got accepted into Academic Decathlon! Dammit!

I have to read 132 pages this week to start off of Biology material, and also have to read this Spanish book really fast...

But that's not what I want help on. I also have to pick a topic for a speech that I will prepare and deliver, and coach said it doesn't have to be persuasive or anything, it could be about ANYTHING... it could be funny, emotional, passionate, intellectual, informative, etc... I could talk about which condom works best, I could argue about the situation in Tibet, I could explain the basics of physics applied to space... w/e.

So I'm looking for a little feedback on what I should do. I really couldn't care less about the suggestion as long as I could find valid places to research the topic. :]

I too was in Academic Decathlon, it depends on what your interest is in, we compete as teams from HS, each person does thier own thing(s), you should ahve it covered if your doing yours.

Try the olympic games. Since there is a fever of olympic games going on, try to speak about the history of olympic games, how it started and how it developed and what did it bring into the world.

I think that politics is not the way to go. Period.  Because what if you were stating your opinion, and the judge has the direct opposite opinion. Then your screwed. Humor is always a plus.  Just try to make it a dry humor. And don't try too hard at the laughs.
