  1. Symantec/Norton are responsible for BSOD ( Blue Screen Of Death )

The live update is worst than viruses.

Additional information - Symantec knew that their product suck so they bought over PC tools. The company that produce Threat Fire.

Threat Fire is PC Magazine Editor's choice free anti-virus that is most effective.

    ThreatFire's patent-pending ActiveDefense

  2. it sucks!

  3. Norton is a joke. I don't know why computer company's even install it on their machines. It's a waste of time and money, and screws up computers more than anything.

  4. well the norton products that slow ur pc is 360...because the size is huge...i have norton 2008...its ok but its not the greatest thing ever...

  5. problem with norton is it slows down your cpu allot and doesn't even detect everything. programmers at norton anti virus dont know how to detect rootkits & trojan's & virusses. So they look for suspicious behaviour. I'll give you a example:

It's like a police officer arresting every1 he see's with a shotgun, while ''only'' 85% uses it to kill.

  6. You are right Norton protection is no good because it is very glitchy software that is not worth wasting hard earned money for. I recommend you get either McAfee or Trend Micro. Also you will need to run the Norton removal tool to get Norton completely off your system.

If you are lucky you can get a good rebate offer on McAfee or Trend Micro and use your old Norton CD if you still have it. Good Luck.
