NOSE PIERCING -CARING?

so i got my nose pierced and i have a small ball thingy in my nose ,like around the nose piercing and i would like to know if that's an infection. if so what do i have to do. Also how do i take care of my piercing.

the thing that's around the piercing is pretty common, and it's called hypertrophic scarring. it isn't an infection, and to get rid of it simply take good care of your peircing and don't touch it/play with it/irritate it all the time, and eventually it will go away. as for aftercare, they really should have told you that when you got it done, but a soak of 1/4 tsp of sea salt in 1 cup of warm water twice a day will do it.

That is VERY common when you get your nose pierced, make sure you are cleaning it every day. Take a q-tip and apply the cream/ or alcohol or whatever you use to the q-tip and rub it around the metal part of the stud so it goes inside. Just keep it clean!

OH YES... its definitly infected!!

i got that...

the best thing to do is take it out.. and just clean it... it needs to heal or else the ball is gonna get bigger and sore.. its bad!!

i have pierced my nose 3 times.

yes... that prob is the start of an infection!

but DO NOT panic! it will settle down within the next few days...

make sure you move the nose ring round and round within the hole so that it doesnt get stuck in puss.!

also wash it with white spirit every 2 h for a couple of weeks and u should be fine!

No you do not have an infection.

If you went to a professional piercer they should have told you the correct aftercare for you piercing.

Anyways.

Clean it twice daily with anti-bacterial soap.

I have always been told to turn my piercings. but only AFTER you clean it, never before.  You don't want to force anything into your hole.

You may also do warm sea salt soaks if you would like.

Tips:

Do not touch or mess with your piercing unless your hands are clean.

Do not use alcohol, peroxide, bactine, or ointments on your piercing.

When you dry off your piercing use a paper towel, not a bath towel; they can harbor bacteria.

clean ur piercing 2 to 3 times a day with hand sinitizer

dnt use alcohol

and turnn ur piercing

after u clean it
