Question:

NPN transistor with unusually low base-emitter breakdown voltage?

Would you know of a "modern" NPN transistor with a Base-Emitter voltage of less than the usual 5V ( ideally 2-3 Volt)?

By "modern" I mean, easy to buy, SMT version available.

The only one I know of is 2N3866 or 2N4427 but they are quite unacceptable in size for a SMT board, and hard to get.

  1. The 2SC5632 is in stock at Digi Key. Base-Emitter breakdown voltage is 3V, and it is SMT. Why do you need such a device?
