Question:

NRL Team Draws?

Just wondering who actually decides who plays who and how many times in a season?? Because I go for the Storm and my friend goes for the Tigers and we were going to go to one of their games so I was looking into it and found that the Storm only play the Tigers once! we also only play the Broncos, Eels, Sharks, Bulldogs & Panthers once only. Everyone else we play twice.

Who decides this??

Thanks :)

  1. channel 9 and fox sports. They pick who plays where.  They have favourites and always show them.  How many times have you seen NZ or Souths on TV at a decent time?  Put all games on a Sunday afternoon so everyone can go and see them.

  2. It is somehow based on results from 2006. Each team plays 24 games and each team plays 15 rivals. So they must play 6 teams once and 9 teams twice.

They split the teams into two "pools" of eight. The 2006 results would split the teams in a way that one "pool" would have 8 teams and the other 7. The Gold Coast team would join the "pool" of 7.

Each team plays all eight teams in the other "pool" twice and one team in their own "pool" twice. They play the other teams in their own "pool" once/

I'm not quite sure exactly what the formula is for splitting the pools, or how they decide which team from their own pool a team has to play twice.

I know it is sort of confusing but I hope this sort of helped.

  3. the draw gets done bye the nrl channel 9 and foxtell
