NRL teams & knockout rule?

Do you think that the trainers / physios should be allowed to make a call on a Player after they have been Knocked out ??

What brought this to mind is the Roosters / Storm match on Friday when James Aubuson was knocked out a second time 15 minutes or so after the first one.

I believe as a personal trainer that they should be assessed off field by a medical doctor not by a trainer/ physio while play continues.

The NRL then could add an interchange rule for this to happen

  1. when a player is knocked out, they are taken to the change rooms and a doctor runs a series of tests on the player, if the player pasts all the tests and is willing to continuee playing they are issued a clearance from the doctor,

i dont think trainers and physios have the power to give a player clearance of injury and if they do they shouldnt because they are specified in a different area of work.

  2. Yes, I was shocked that that happened. Somebody slipped up badly. I really felt for Aubusson.
