Question:

NSW police issued traffic infringment notices?

My dad had his bag stolen by a passenger while driving a cab and in it contained our housekeys and a police issued traffic infringment notice which was paid long ago. We are not sure if the infringement notices police issue to you on the spot after checking your licence (not the ones which are posted to you later) have your address written anywhere on them. If the answer is yes then the thieves will know our address and we'd obviously have to change our locks as they have our housekeys also.

Hopefully someone who has such a notice lying around or a police officer can confirm whether such a notice contains an address.

Thanks

  1. If you are talking about a traffic ticket.  In my state they are called a summons or a UTT Uniformed Traffic Ticket or a USAC Uniformed Summons AND Complaint.  Then the answer is Yes the thieves would have what ever address is on your dad's license.  Hope that helps.
