Can you go into clubs and bars in NYC when youre 18 but not purchase alcohol

There are some bars that double as a restaurant so you MIGHT be able to get away with it.

But for the most part, NYC bars have bouncers out front on peak nights (Thurs - Sat) checking ids and refusing entry to anyone under the age of 21, regardless of whether they intend to drink or not.
