NYC Manhattan too crowded! suggestions ?

hello am currently 19 male i grew up in nyc i haven't explored all the attractions and streets some but am soon graduating from online height school i suffer kinda of a social phobia and depression anxiety i don't like big crowds i hate the train and sometimes i think il be better off somewhere else maybe not too far from ny and not sooo isolating any suggestions am currently in Manhattan Washington heights waiting with my mom waiting for section 8 apt any suggestions

  2. If you have to stay in NYC, then move to staten island.

    Sine you have social phobia and depression anxiety , you may need to see psychiatrist, otherwise, move to America west such as AZ, UT, CO, MT, CA.., and close to nature, then you will be better

I agree with Tom.  If you have to remain within NYC to receive section 8 housing, then I think Staten Island is a good idea.  Although it is part of the city, it feel muchs more like a smaller town.  Much quieter, and a slower pace.  No subways on Staten Island -- buses and one train line (regular above ground) that runs north/south.  Also, some beautiful parks and beaches with amazing views.  Don't know if your mom or has to work in Manhattan.  That would be a longer commute, but it's possible.
