This is very interesting to me - a Canadian.

A friend of the family immigrated to Australia a few years ago. According to him it is exceedingly difficult to obtain permits to work and live in Australia.

yep all the non-new zealanders.....we(new zealands) come to aussie to work because you have better pay rates,better working conditions, tax rebates, "having a baby grant" etc...
