  1. dont ask me about scores but NZ should destroy italy.italy need to be on top form to even stand a chance against the favourites NZ

  2. I don't think we'll demolish them at all.  I am expecting it to be quite close until at least half time.  Italy are a lot better than most people think plus the AB's haven't played a full intensity international for a long long time.

I think we'll have some inevitable rust and a couple of handling mistakes that will help keep it close.  The Italian forward pack will compete well for the first half and keep them in the game.  Plus everyone lifts their game against the All Blacks.

Eventually though, the speed that NZ plays the game at will catch up to the Italians and we'll run away with it.  Whether it's 3-4 tries in a 20 minute stretch towards the end of the game, or a gradual extension of the lead throughout the second half, we'll take a comfortable win.  Of course, the other teams will concentrate on is the "slow" start and proclaim that NZ has peaked too soon blah blah blah because they have to find hope somewhere.

I think it'll be about 17-6, 20-9 kind of score line at half time and balloon out to about 42-12, 48-18 full time score range.  Of course, if we go out there and click right from the start and rack up 50-60+ points, that will only leave the "cheaters" angle for Berneard Laporte and co. and they'll be shaking in their boots!!!! (They are already but they are trying their best to cover it up)

  3. It definately won't be the 100 poin romp that we saw in the 1999 RWC, Italy have improved vastly and good on them for doing so.

I think the scoreline will be comfortable but not a whitewash. 30-40 points to the ABs and I'd back the Italians to score once or twice

Prematch: Bonjour, welcome to TNVZ livescoring for the Rugby World Cup 2007! Tonight the All Blacks take on Italy in Marseilles. It's a balmy 24 degrees in Marseilles. Zidaine is watching from the stands, lets hope the All Blacks didn't pick up any head butting tips from him during the week.

The All Blacks chose to perform the Ka Mate haka, and a stirring rendition it is too

  5. Ok well with the start of the tournament, henry will not be putting our strongest team foward & we may underestimate the italians a little. Half-time will be close within 10 points but henry will give the all blacks a bollocking at half time & the all blacks will come away with a win by at least 20 points.

  6. Italy wont be a push over at any stage, they may not be as talented as some nations but Christ are they tough and committed. Their pack is there main strength and will make any team work for an inch. Ireland managed to hockey them in the last match of the 6 nations but not after Italy scaring the c**p outta us for the first half an hour, and then when the scores piled up they still managed to score in the last min, that scored lost Ireland the 6 nations trophy. and more recently they almost beat Ireland if it was not for a controversial try in the last min...it wasn't that Ireland played bad it was more that Italy came out all guns blazing.

so I'm going to say NZ 43- Italy 15

  7. I don't believe it'll be a push over but  fitness worries will make it an interesting game. (removing 2 in the last minutes shows some doubt!?) My father in-law said that Italy could beat the AB's, I guess anything is possible!

    Halftime: AB's 7   Italy 10

    Fultime: AB's 21  Italy  13

  8. Italy is a bit of a dark horse and i'm picking them to come second in our pool{AllBlacks finishing first of course}.They are no easy beats any more and persistance is paying off.

    All Blacks 20-9 half time,Full time AllBlacks 34-Itay 16

  9. Italy will be a surprise, that for sure.

they lost a game against ireland on the last second a week ago.

I would say NZ 31-13 as final result and 10-3 in the first half.

    go italy
