Question:

NaCl + H2O = OH- H+ Na+ Cl- = NaOH HCl??

couldnt this technically happen when mixing NaCl, ie table salt, with common household water??

considering there are OH- and H+ in every sample of water on the earth.. and NaCl discosiates in water to form Na+ and Cl-????

this is confusing....
