Please dont criticize my answer, I'm entitled to my opinion as all of you are, but honestly I cant believe the people that are "not sure" that Rafa deserves #1 or not.  I'm wondering if you really watch tennis.  He is an incredible athlete and has worked extremely hard on his game improving it all the time.  I'm not saying no one else doesnt do that, but what I will say that its obvious that "RAFA WANTS IT MORE" he's is hungry for his wins and until you find another player that wants it as much as he does, Rafa will continue to dominate, and I sure hope Federer gets it back, his drive, his focus.......I know Djokovic is pretty hungry, but not quite hungry enough yet.

Yeah .. and he really deserved this number one spot. I've been following his career since French Open 2005 and man, I can't believe he'll be the new number 1 tomorrow =D

nadal just won the olympic gold.  is there still any doubt that he deserves to be number one?  he's got 2 things that federer might never have - olympic singles gold and roland garros trophy.  and nadal's playing well on all surfaces now.  given that he still has room for improvements, it's gonna be tough for other players to catch up with him in any surface.

Yup, even I can't. I can't believe Fed has lost in singles, against Blake.... What do you think about Nadal??? I don't know whether he deserves to be #1, but I can say that both Fed and Rafa play equally good these days....
