Nadal and Nalbandian showing no mercy in Rogers Cup 
Spanish sensation Rafael Nadal is sailing smoothly in the Rogers Cup with his thrilling match-winning form. In a recent match, Nadal clinched another victory after a nerve throbbing match against Switzerland’s Stanislas Wawrinka. The Rogers Cup is being held in Toronto and is certainly proving to be a test for all the players. Nadal fought really well and showed his dominance and control in the court.
It was a 2 hour 20 minute battle between Nadal and Stanislas. Stanislas showed great courage and made the match even harder for the world number one to win. The first set tie break was probably the longest set tie break in Nadal's career but in the end, Nadal finished the match in an impressive manner. Nadal took the match from Stanislas by 7-6 (12-10) 6-3. After winning one of the toughest matches of the year, Nadal expressed his views and said that it was a very tough match for him as Stanislas showed great class and aptitude. Nadal added that he was very happy with the way he played and it was a good comeback for him. Later, he said that Stanislas is a very tough opponent as the Swiss made the match even harder for him to win. The Spaniard had to give his best to clutch this special victory. The first set of the match went on for 93 minutes which is no doubt a proof of the highest calibre of both players. Nadal used his experience and impressive skills to capture glory.
Now the Spanish star will face Kevin Anderson from South Africa. Kevin is enjoying his good luck and good playing form at the tournament. He has already thrashed 16th seed Sam Querrey from America with 7-6 (7-4) 4-6, 6-4 in a stamina wrecking four set match. On the other hand, Serbian ace Novak Djokovic is struggling hard to keep his winning fate alive. Despite winning the match against Sam Querrey, Djokovic seemed a little uneasy and uncomfortable. The two hour match seemed a bit too much for him as he struggled to keep his stamina. After the match, Djokovic said that he is very concerned about his health and his health is his top priority. The problem with this Serbian tennis ace is that he cannot play to his fullest when it is hot, especially in the sunlight. Djokovic added that no one can turn the sun off and it is hard to play in extreme sunny conditions.
In other matches, Russian tennis ace and sixth seed for the tournament Nikolay Davydenko thrashed Italy’s Fabio Fognini by 7-5 6-1. On the other hand, French tennis sensation Jeremy Chardy thrashed Spain’s Fernando Verdasco with a score of 6-7 (5-7) 7-6 (7-5) 6-2.
David Nalbandian is still sailing smoothly with his winning form and clinched a convincing victory against Spanish tennis star Tommy Robredo with a score of 6-3 6-0. It was certainly a very special performance for this Argentinean tennis ace after getting out of hamstring and hip surgery problems. After winning the match against Tommy Robredo, Nalbandian has absolutely shown the world that he is one of the top contenders for the Rogers Cup title.
The Rogers Cup has entered into a very exciting stage as players are trying hard to get the lead over one another. Participants like Djokovic, Nadal and Nalbandian are making the tournament even more thrilling with their outrageous talent and class. There’s no doubt that the final stages of the Rogers Cup are going to be a heart throbbing affair.
