I think Rafa will become number one within 2 years. By then Federer will be 28 years old and he might not move as quickly. Congratulations on winning Wimbledon, Nadal!

This is the 'hot' tennis question at the moment.Officially its still Federer but the gap must be miniscule.Nadal is 'nipping at his heels and will surely pass him if he does better in the US hard court season leading up to the US open.That  and the grand slam result will surely clear the currently cloudy picture.

Actually, it doesn't matter a whit what you or I think. The rankings are computed by a computer using a formula based on match results. Usually the tournament seedings are based on rankings but seeding committees, especially at Wimbledon, have been known to tweak the seedings so they do not exactly match the rankings.

The way Rafa is playing, nothing is going to stop him.  He knows he needs to improve parts of his game, & when he's determined... well, look what determination has done for him so far this year!

I think Nadal is a great player and should be No.1 in a few years but at the moment i still reckon Federer is the best. He didn't play to his best Yesterday.

I think that due to his recent successes at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, Nadal must be the new number one when the new rankings are released.

Federer remains at number one for now, so we'll have to see huh? Personally I think it's time Nadal took over.
