So I know the traditional is to get a french manicure for both the toes and finger nails. But I dont think I want to do that, I want both sets of nails to be red (the same color as my bridesmaids dresses) I think it would look really nice with my white dress. What do you guys think?

  1. I didn't want the traditional white either so I did a champagne color. I think that would be great or have it match your flowers.

  2. I like the red with white :] Red is a good luck color in China ya know :D

  3. red toenails look great with open sandals. In my opinion, French pedicure looks nasty- if your toenails are long enough for you to put a white strip of color, they're long enough to gather dirt.

Red is a lovely classic color and it does look great against white, but it chips much faster than French manicure or pearly light colors. If you plan on taking pictures of your hands to show off the rings, you'll have to be very careful not to chip the polish.

If your polish normally stays on, then you'll be fine. Get a good quality nail polish so that  you minimize the chance of peeling.

I have to retouch mine every day or so, even when I get very expensive high-quality polish. I have a bad habit of using my nails to open things, and even though they're short, I can't wear bold colors.

If you think you can keep it on, go for it.

  4. I think the red would look lovely with a white dress.  It will definitely show off your hands beautifully.

The french style isn't bad, but I always prefer a colored pedicure.

    Best wishes!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. erd nails against a white background of your dress should look really pretty. good luck and congrats

  6. Do red on your toes and french on your fingers.  If you have strappy sandals or peep toe shoes then the red will add a cute punch of color.

I would stick with french or a solid neutral for your nails as there will be many close up pictures that will show your hands.

It's a personal choice, but I think the french will look lovely on your fingers.

  7. Absolutely!

  8. That is soooo cool! I would definatly go for it! So when your posing with the bridesmaids for the pictures, it would look so cute!

  9. omg that sounds really tacky ... im sry but it just is  i hate red at weddings unless it hast to do with flowers like the red rose simbolises love   i always think about purity when i think of weddings because  your pleging your love 2 each other for all to see and to me thats as pure as it gets    i think if you wanted color then mabye a nice sweet pink would be good

  10. i think it would be nice

  11. It's your outfit, you can do as you please.

  12. I've seen it done.  Just make sure you're nails aren't r-e-a-l long so it looks like blood dripping from you fingertips.  :)

It's a matter of personal choice.

  13. It all depends what kind of wedding it is...if it's a traditional formal wedding, then I say go for a french mani and pedi but if it's not a traditional wedding I say red is just fine.

  14. sound nice

  15. I think you can do what you want, it's your wedding day and it all ties in with the colour scheme.  I had mine painted a really deep burgundy (but I keep my nails short and square so it looks good) I wouldn't paint really long nails red as it can look a bit vampy.

  16. I would say you get a french manicure and add a little red

  17. I think it depends on the shade of red, your personality and overall feel of the wedding. It's definitely unique and different, but if you're not the extrovert type of person, then it might distract and confuse. Also remember the pictures and how you'd like that in your photos up close and personal in 10years :)

  18. That would look great!

I'm doing mine light pink because I have a light pink sash around the waist of my dress.

  19. My friend did that and it was beautiful

  20. i'd advice use french manicure or white pearl colour, doesnt matter what the bridesmaids dresses are
