Question:

Nails? Is it Okay to soak off your overlay get your nails cut all the way back and get a new overlay?

because Im getting this done today

and I would like to know if anyone has done this and jept them that way and then what color you would reccomemd

p.s. i have darkish skin and my fingers are skinny

  1. yes, whenever you want to get a fresh overlay they usually do soak your nails and cut off the old stuff before they do a fresh set. i would recommend getting a gel overlay, its more expensive, but it's better for your nails.  i always go for a color thats a bit natural, sometimes just opting for a french tip with some shimmer on the nail.


  2. Yes, that is fine to do. Some people get new sets every time they go to the salon. That looks better than getting them filled anyway. And yes, you can get gel nails, but they are more expensive. They tend to come out looking better and I don't know why that is because gel nails are basically the same exact thing as acrylic nails. I've always had powder gel used on my gel nails which is just a different type of acrylic powder and it makes a gel when its mixed with the liquid So yeah, it's OK to do that if you want to..
