Question:

Naked pictures from when I was a minor?

When I 15 I was incredibly naive and shared my nude pictures with a creep on the internet. (Spare me the lecture. I know this was an extremely stupid decision.)

Anyways, this creep continues to contact me and threaten to release the pictures.

However, what impact does the fact that I was 15 when they were taken have? I already told them that they were child p**n since I was so young, but he said "You don't look 15 in these pics. No one would believe that you were only 15."

There is no date on the pictures, so I cannot actually prove I was only 15.

Could I take any sort of legal action if he did release these pictures? What should I do?

  1. If you are still a minor, tell your parents.  Then they should contact the police.  If you are now an adult, then you contact the police.  They can get a warrant and seize the guy's computer.  Then, computer forensics can easily determine the age of the pictures, how long they have been on his computer, where/when he may have sent them, if he copied them.  Comparing the information they get off his computer wtih your birthdate, they can easliy prove if its child p**n.  (Even if he tries to erase them now, they can probably retrieve most of the information.)

  2. i'm gonna answer the "what impact does this have?"

if ur friends and family see it, what do you think they would do? what about ur boss or coworkers?

  3. He can get busted for having child p**n. If you testify under oath that you were a minor when the photos were taken then a jury will tend to believe you.

  4. I am no fan of the police, but this situation def, warrants going and speaking with a detective. how will you feel if this pervert eventually rapes some young child and you could have stopped him. give the cops something worthwhile to do.

  5. Talk to a lawyer and find out the true facts. Chances are if your lawyer sends him a letter telling him the legal repercussions of his threatened actions not to mention the fact that his threats are already illegal, he will back down.

  6. Its a felony to poses indecent photographs of underage persons of a sexual nature. Meaning, there is no statue of limitations against this.

I would contact your local police department. Tell them the story and what is going on. You'll need to file a report. From there, I would go and talk to the magistrate.

Sounds like you could get him for Harassment, Blackmailing, and Possession of Child Pornography

  7. Once you told him that you were 15, he can't go on how old you look any more.  Call the cops on him; who knows what other victims he has?
