Naked pictures of yourself?

If I were to take naked pictures of myself now, and keep them until I was 18, would it still be considered child pornography if I don't show them to anybody?

Illegal now.  Illegal when you are 18.  The only difference is at 18 you will be charged as an adult and the penalties are more severe.  You could always lie about when it was taken if anyone ever finds it.

If the photographs are pornographic, then they are child p**n even now - there is no law that prevents a minor from being convicted of possession of child p**n.

A 15 year old girl in Georgia (USA, not the one fighting the Russians) was recently convicted of the manufacture and distribution of child p**n for taking a cellphone picture of herself masturbating and sending it to her 16 year old boyfriend.

Note, though, that the operative word is "pornographic", not "naked". Pictures of someone in the nude are not in and of themselves pornographic, even if the person is a minor. Nor does the person in the pictures have to be nude for the pictures to be pornographic.

A photo of a 14 year old girl playing volleyball naked on a nude beach could be published in her nudist clubs magazine without being pornographic, even though it is a photo of a naked minor.

A photo of the same girl wearing s**y lingerie posing erotically on a bearskin rug probably *would* be considered pornographic, even though she's not naked.

Under certain circumstances, the SAME photo, or even the same text, could be pornographic, or not, depending on context. Imagine two photos and two stories. One photo is of a naked 10 year old girl on the beach, and the other is of a naked 25 year old girl on the beach. One story is a girl talking about a trip to the nudist beach with her family. The other is a girl talking about going to a nudist beach, meeting a guy, and having s*x in the sand dunes. If the story about the family trip is illustrated with the picture of the ten year old, and that about s*x with the picture of the 25 year old, both stories, and both pictures, are non-pornographic.

If the story about s*x in the dunes, though, is illustrated with the picture of a 10 year old girl, then the story and the accompanying photo become child p**n by the context of their being associated with one another.

It really depends on the  photos.

Not all nude photos are pornographic, even with minors.

However it is much trickier. Of course the way you are wording the sentence does sound like you plan to take pornographic photos.

A naked minor is a naked minor, even yourself.  Even if you're no longer a minor.
