  1. Unfortunately this wasn't totally out of character for Nalbandian to fall short of expectations, although to lose in the first round in straight sets has got to be among his worst efforts ever.  If he ever becomes a consistent player, he would be right up there with the top 3, as he showed at the end of last year winning the Masters Series titles in Paris and Madrid, and the fact that he, Djokovic, and Federer are the only active players who have made it to the semis of all 4 slams in their career.

  2. Nalbandian has lost his game... He was killed 6-0, 6-1 by Djokovic a few weeks ago and now he is out of Wimbledon in the first round! How pathetic can this guy get? He beat Fed in Shanghai a while back. I think that is his only claim to fame. He is going no where fast. Good job to Dancevic though.

Oh yah... I thought Serena and Dancevic got their hair cuts together this year. Lol

  3. Yup ! Oh well, he`s been playing S h it lately !!! I think he`s passed it. btw who`s draw was he in ? Novaks!

  4. Yes...very sad for a former Wimbledon finalist.

  5. its sad becasue Nalbandian is such a good player. I think he has one of the best backhands to ever grace the game. He has so much talent and deserves to be in the top ten. But this was a shocker. not his day

  6. Yep Frankie Dancevic...the CAN stands for Canada not Serbia just in case any Serbs got any funny ideas about claiming him as theirs.

He's Canadian born in Niagara Falls, Ontario baby.

Dancevic began his 2008 grass court tennis season in style, winning the Surbiton challenger in late May - early June as he defeated Kevin Anderson in the final in three sets. The 57 ATP points he gained saw his ranking jump from No. 111 to 90.

At Wimbledon, Dancevic was given a wild card. In the first round, he pulled off an upset against the Number 7 seed, David Nalbandian, winning in straight sets 6-4, 6-2, 6-4, winning with an ace on match point. He should go another round or two.
