Name 2 famous Mayan sites in Mexico?

Literally there are thousands but the two most visited sites are Tulum (QR) and Chichen Itza (YU).

btw Palenque is in Chiapas, I don't think most would consider that part of the Yucatan Peninsula

(In case you missed it "to the west of the peninsula include Chiapas and Tabasco"). I'm guessing that's the reason I was given the thumbs down since by Number of visitors per year Tulum and Chichen Itza are by far the most popular/well know/famous Mayan ruins.
