Pacific and N.American , are you waiting for the big one , many people are . actually they are rubbing noses as opposed to getting close . For a good example the Pacific and Australian are geting closer , the Pacific and N .American are pulling apart at the Northerly edge  producing a sliding past at California , further complicated by two smaller plates causing disturbance . The Pacific plate is turning or being forced in an anti clockwise movement .

Eurasian plate, and the Indo-Australasian plate are pushing together forming the Himalyan mountain range.

Also, the American plates (north and south) are pushing into the pacific plates, resulting in the Andes and Rockies mountain ranges.  (Not sure, it might be that it's the Pacific plates pushing into the America's)

The Pacific plate and the Eurasian plate are moving closer together. The south american plate is moving towards the noth american plate however at the same time the north american plate is moving north-west towards the Eurasia plate.
