  1. There is a couple of listings in Wikipedia that try to track all the abolished monarchies around the world. There are dozens of people who have inherited titles from monarchies that were abolished decades ago. The titular head of the Yugoslavian monarchy lives in chicago, for instance.

    - The website in the source lists current monarchs around the world.

In addition to overthrown monarchies there is also "pretenders" . A pretender is someone who some people think should be the monarch if correct laws were followed.

For instance if you look at Queen Elizabeth's bloodline back 12 generations. She is descended from Elizabeth of Stuart (oldest daughter of James I). Normally the line of descent would run through the oldest son but parliament changed the order because they did not want a Catholic monarch. If we went through the line of the male son it would lead to an elderly confirmed bachelor who live in Germany.

    0 - Elizabeth II - Queen of U.K.

    1 - George VI - King of U.K.

    2 - George V - King of U.K.

    3 - Edward VII - King of U.K.

    4 - Victoria - Queen of U.K.

5 - Edward - Duke of Kent (4th son of George III)

    6 - George III - King of U.K.

7 - Frederick - Prince of Wales (died before George II)

8 - George II - King of Great Britain

    9 - George I - King of Great Britain

    10 - Sophia - Electress of Hanover

11 - Elizabeth Stuart - Queen of Bohemia

12 - James I - King of England (James VI OF Scots)

  2. i dunno if my family is still classed as aristorcratic :S type in Sir benjamin Baker on google he built the forth bridge

  3. Dude, there are too many. That would be impossible. Even in some countries where the monarchy was abolished, you will find desendants of the royal family, or of certain nobles. Bloodline continue. They get entangled with others and become harder to trace. Some end, I'll give you that. But even if they've lost their titles, and probably their wealth too, you can still trace certain people back to a Prince or a Duchess or something.

Give it up, there are too many. Or try Googling the royal bloodline of a certain country. But I don't think you'll find a complete list.

Try going at it by country, I would say, if you're that bored.

  4. Nix is right, there are just too many to name them all. Burke's Peerage will name the British..http://www.burkes-peerage.net/
