Name Change? What's the fastest, most efficient way to change it legally?

Ok, my brother's name is Ci (pronounce Cy like Cyborg), he is sick and tired of people mispronouncing his name wrong. What is the most fastest, cheapest, most efficient way to change the (i) to a (y) legally? Anything can help, THANX.

go to the social security office and change it. then he can take his new ss card and old id to the dmv and get a new drivers lisence/ id card. then change it on his bills, etc.

There is no fast method. You just have to be patient.

He doesn't have to legally change his name to have himself called by another name.  He could use his middle name (if he has one) and use that as his name. He would have to put down his full name when applying for jobs or getting licenses, insurance, etc.  But even then he can say, "My name is Ci but I go by X"

Other than something like that, he would have to change it legally through the court system which takes being of legal age and about 3 months or so.

To change his name legally he has to file for a legal name change.  He has to go in front of a judge so that they can approve it.  There is no other way of doing it sorry.
