i got married May 9 and I sent in a form of change of name to the IRS and that put a delay on my rebate check

i was suppose to got mine July 11 but won't get mine til sometime in August :(

so yes if you sent in a form with a change of name before your rebate is suppose to be issued out then there will be a delay

i guess you didn't think to wait to send in the name change til after you've gotten the rebate check?DARN IT!

  3. Yes it does delay the rebate but even more if you didn't change your name on your Social Security, Once IRS receives the name change form it will check Social Security Records to match your name with your SSN.
