  1. Play who stole the cookies form the cookie jar

Toss a ball and have child say their name when they catch the ball.

    Play red rover red rover

Bean bag activities and coordination(CD) has pass the bean bag

  2. There is one that I call  the s****. Doo game.  Everyone sits around in a circle and you clap you hands to your lap and then together.  The rhyme goes like this:

(Example) Today is Monday s****. Doo.  My name is_______ and who are you(point to the child sitting next to you).  They say their name and then its.  Today is Monday s****. Doo. Her/His name is ______and who are you?  You do this until you have gone all the way around the circle and end with Today is Monday s****. Doo.  His/Her name is______and we're all through.

  3. I have all the kids names written on a sentence strip with their own sticker.  We sing (the tune is actually kind of different every day!) - It's time to play the name game, the name game, the name game. It's time to play the name game, what's your name?  Then we show the cards first to the child who it belongs to and they recognize their own special sticker and their letters - after they have all learned their own name, we branch out to their friend's names.  It works and it's amazing what they can retain!

  4. paste their own names on their back .. but make them write it on a sticky thing and then collect them all and then put a different name on each kid and make them find their own name on the other kids ... its fun but tell them to try to get away from the person who wants to take it out of their back get it?
