  1. Pol Pot - Khmer Rouge of Cambodia

  2. Mao Tse Tsung !?!?!

  3. Folks like Mike L actually put Pol Pot into power because thinking like his did a lot of damage to any remaining war effort post 72 pull out, it was his liberal congress that defunded the aid needed by the Vietnamese in the face of further attacks by the North. Cambodia and Laos were also on this aid package. A congressional over-ride cut off the aid and that was that. Mike L will remain in arrogant denial. One could argue that the Bombing caused this, the second side of the equation be brought to the fore Cambodia was a sanctary to the Northern forces and Mike L will not bring that to the fore because it defies his template.Never Again Another Saigon April 30, 1975 If you Comprehend Perhaps you understand.

  4. Jimmy Carter.

Only joking, Pol Pot of Cambodia. Helped into power by the USA, just like Manuel Noriega (Panama), Saddam Hussein (Iraq-twice!), General Suharto (Indonesia), General Pinochet Chile), Hugo Banzer (Bolivia), Chun-Doo Hwan (S.Korea), Samuel Doe (Liberia), Hissen Habre (Chad)....shall I go on?

The US government loves its dictators, especially if they are favourable to US interests. That's why Castro was such a pain to them, he wouldn't play ball and sell out his country-and now they are trying to do the same to Hugo Chavez in Venezuela

Driveranderson should check his facts before giving me a history lesson. It was USAF bombing that weakened King Sihanouk's position, allowing USA-backed Lol Nol's coup to take control in 1970. Since the King had refused to help the USA over Vietnam, they did their usual schtick of installing someone who would do as they wished. Lol Nol immediately committed troops to the war, destabilising Cambodia further, and allowing minority factions such as Khmer Rouge to gain more & more power & influence, and eventually take control.

Denial is a wonderful thing, but it is a fact that the USA has been directly responsible for dozens of "regime changes" in foreign nations since the end of WW2, and they have NO problem with the new leader being a dictator, as long as he takes care of US interests.
