My favorite is monopoly, because its easy for me to invite some friends to come over and play it for a while then come back to it the next day or two. Most ofthe other games only would last about 15-20 minutes i lke longer games.

I have a few favorites.  Scrabble is probably my favorite of all time and I still play it quite often.  My husband and I used to play Mancala quite a bit - that is quite an ancient and intriguing game - deceptively simple yet amazingly complex and has been found in cultures all over the world - well worth a try.  Old favorites from my childhood were checkers and chinese checkers - I rarely play either of those now.  I've played some poker over the years - blackjack, and a few others, but my favorite card game of all time is bridge, the ultimate card game - I play it a couple of times a week.
