no one is perfect. so there is no man who doesn't make mistakes. everyone has lied, so even if they learn not to later in life, they dont qualify becuase they have at one point and time in their life.

Well, as for mistakes, that is an issue of perception.  No matter how well one conducts oneself, someone will take issue with his actions.  He himself will not make any mistakes in his opinion, it's just how others see it.

As for lies, well, there comes a time when our relations with others requires some embellishment or feigning ignorance to avoid conflict.  How else can one answer, "Do these pants make me look fat?"  Should we answer by saying that the pants are not at fault, but it is their relationship with Ben and Jerry that are to blame?  Sometimes, it is better just to remain quiet.
