Question:

Name a molecule that has THREE different atoms. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I have a project in which I have to make a molecule. But I don't want something super easy, I want something complicated. I was going to make Trinitrotoluene but the play dough is expensive and I only have 3 colours, namely: green, yellow, and A LOT of white. The colours aren't the problem it's the fact that I can't make something like trinitrotoluene anymore because it has FOUR different atoms. So can you PLEASE help me find a complicated molecule with THREE atoms. Thanks!!!

And if possible try and make the atoms a bit varied, I mean, like with Nitrogen and Carbon, they're like right next to each other, so it's going to be hard to shape the size differences correctly, if you get what I mean. So help me find a molecule that:

a) has three atoms

b) has a lot of one type of atom

c) its atoms aren't right next to each other on the elements table.

Thank you so much!!!! And PLEASE I need a speedy response, this thing's due TOMORROW!!!!!!!!

  1. if u want too complicated and bigger, u can always choose, an extremely large carbon compound.

    but if u want a definite 3 - d atomic structure, u can go for, Al2Si6O16

i think these are spread out and won't be much of a problem.

this atom i think fulfills ur conditions

if u want a much harder one u can go for

stuff like octanoic acid(hope u know the structure)

or if u really wanna impress someone u can go for a tiny section of polysaccharide or any polymer ( tiny meaning in comparison with the polymer) ; if ur audience ( the ppl u want to show this ) have limited knowledge u can do compounds like glycerol or a section of carbohydrates..

if they have unlimited knowledge about chem i think its better to go with a simpler but a more challenging one.

so i think a simple glycerol will be enough.

it is too easy or too hard either won't take u much time.

    propan- 1,2,3- triol

i really hope u understand wht i am talking about ( i mean the structures and stuff)

  2. a) HCN is cyanhydric acid 3 different atoms

    b) O3 =ozone

    c) MgBrCl

  3. you can choose boron, nitrogen and phosphorous and play like crazy with the atoms but only draw 3 links per atom.then u say it.s inorganic rubber/glass

o,and u can always find red to draw with, even on a lonely island....
