  1. King Tut or Ramses.

You could write on how they died so young ,what they accomplished, or who discovered their pyramids

  2. Try Thutmes (Thutmosis) III or Hatshepsut... they are pretty well documented, but not as hacked to death as Ramesses II and king Tut, and less controversial than Akhenaten.

Oh, and avoid Cleopatra or any of the Ptolemies... they were Greek monarchs and not really Pharaohs, even if they adopted some of the trappings and titles of earlier sovereigns of Egypt. The only female to have been a 'pharaoh' (and that's because she insisted on the title and even wore typically male symbols like the false beard, and would not take the title Queen) was Hatshepsut.

  3. Cleopatra VIII (they didn't have a female equivalent word; pharaoh meant king and queen).

  4. Tuthankamon

  5. Totemic

  6. king tut was a king.

    amenhotep

  7. Hatshepsut - Fifth Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty.  She is regarded as one of the most successful, longest reigning  female pharaohs.

Her body which was long considered lost has been discovered, this year, by the famous Egyptologist Zahi Hawass.

Hatshepsut was the daughter of Thutmose I and his first Queen, Ahmose.  Thutmose II was his son by his other wife Mutnosephret (sp?). When Thutmose I died, his son was still a young child and Hatshepsut was to rule until Thutmose II came of age. She was extremely successul and apparently had a good relationship with her half-brother Thutmose II.

However, after she died. Her name almost disappeared from history, as Thutmose II erased her name and image from nearly all the public monuments. There have been many theories as to why this happened.

Some theorize he did this so that her name would not live on and she would not make it into the after life. Almost like he did it to spite her.

Others theorize, it was political and he did it, b/c she was so successful he didn't want to have to live with her memory.

    A very interesting story.

  8. There are plenty of great Egyptian pharaohs during the ancient dynasties, my favorites were:

    Hatshepsut (1473 - 1458 BC)

One of only a few female pharaohs, Hatshepsut who was the first wife Thutmose II. After Thutmose's death, his son, Thutmose III, (by a minor wife) was named the heir. Because the boy was so young, Hatshepsut ruled with him until she declared herself pharaoh. She claimed the god Amon-Ra said she was to be pharaoh. Dressed not as a lady, but in men's clothes, Hatshepsut took charge of the nation and had the support of the high priest and other officials. For 20 years she ruled Egypt and during that time the economy was great. She started trading with more countries, built impressive temples and restored many others. One of these magnificent buildings was the temple at Deir el Bahari. Hatshepsut disappeared after Thutmose III reclaimed the throne, and what became of her is a mystery.

    Tutankhamen (1336 - 1327 BC)

At the age of nine Tutankhamen became pharaoh. King Tut, as a lot of people call him, was too young to rule Egypt so his uncle Ay, who was the highest minister, ruled for him while he was a boy. Tut married Ankhsenoomun. Tutankhamen died at 18. His body was found with his skull bashed in. It is thought that Ay may have had something to do with the sudden and mysterious death. Only a person of great importance could get near enough to harm him, one of them would have been Ay. Ay married Tut's widow (who is also a suspect in Tut's murder), despite being her grandfather, so that he could have power.

    Ramesses II (1279 - 1213 BC)

Ramesses II was one of the longest ruling pharaohs of ancient Egypt. He was called Ramesses the Great and ruled for 67 years, although beside his father in the beginning. It is said that Ramesses lived for over 80 years. The average person lived to about 40 so he must have seemed like a god. Ramesses made a name for himself as a builder and a warrior but he also had a rep as a ladies man. He had over a dozen wives and more than 100 children.

Cleopatra VII (January 69 BC – 12 August 30 BC) was a Hellenistic co-ruler of Egypt with her father (Ptolemy XII Auletes) and later with her brothers/husbands Ptolemy XIII and Ptolemy XIV. She later became the supreme ruler of Egypt, as pharaoh, consummated a liaison with Gaius Julius Caesar that solidified her grip on the throne, and, after Caesar's assassination, aligned with Mark Antony, with whom she produced twins. In all, Cleopatra had four children, one by Caesar (Caesarion) and three by Antony (Cleopatra Selene II, Alexander Helios, and Ptolemy Philadelphus). Her unions with her brothers produced no children. It is possible that they were never consummated; in any case, they were not close. Her reign marks the end of the Hellenistic Era and the beginning of the Roman Era in the eastern Mediterranean. She was the last Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt (her son by Julius Caesar, Caesarion, ruled in name only before Augustus had him executed). Even though she still bore the ancient Egyptian title Pharaoh, her society's language was Greek and its culture was Hellenistic. When Cleopatra was born, the Great Pyramid was already at least 2,500 years old.

Nefertiti (c. 1370 BC - c. 1330 BC) was the Great Royal Wife (or chief consort/wife) of the Egyptian Pharaoh Amenhotep IV (later Akhenaten). She was the mother-in-law and probable stepmother of the Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Nefertiti may have also ruled as pharaoh in her own right under the name Neferneferuaten briefly after her husband's death and before the accession of Tutankhamun. Her name roughly translates to "the beautiful (or perfect) woman has come". She also shares her name with a type of elongated gold bead, called nefer, that she was often portrayed as wearing.

She had many titles; at Karnak there are inscriptions that read Heiress, Great of Favours, Possessed of Charm, Exuding Happiness, Mistress of Sweetness, beloved one, soothing the king's heart in his house, soft-spoken in all, Mistress of Upper and Lower Egypt, Great King's Wife, whom he loves, Lady of the Two Lands, Nefertiti.

  9. Tut

  10. Ramses II

    Tutankhamen

  11. Tutankhamen.  King Tut.  One of the most well known, so there should be  a TON of info on him.

  12. Ramses II, the most important pharaon.

  13. Do it on King Tutankhamen...one of the most famous Pharaohs of Egypt.  Information is very easy to get and is extraordinarily interesting.  If you wish to go in another direction and be a bit different, try Cleopatra VII or Ptolemy XV.  Good Luck!
