  1. Mexico

    Alaska

    Caribbean

  2. There is the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, Alaska, the Mediterranean...  There are several options to choose.  It depends on where you live, where you want to go, and from where you depart.  I have been to the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, and sailed from Australia to the US.  Cruises are awesome, and my favorite way to vacation.

  3. Key West and Bahamas in 3 weeks baby!

  4. You can cruise any ocean today.  Alaska, Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaiian Islands, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Antarctica.  You name it, you're there.  The cruise business is big.

  5. Have been Eastern Caribbean, Western Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico and Alaska.

Will be going Southern Caribbean next.

Out of those places, if you are looking for a great place to cruise, I would recommend Eastern Caribbean.

  6. I have been to so many places on cruises, but I would just say anywhere, I want a world cruise. 100 days+!

  7. mexico or the caribbean

  8. Alaska - it's the best cruise I've been on.

  10. I have been to St Thomas, St Martin, Bahama private islands (most Eastern Caribbean cruises), San Juan, Dominica, Barbados, Aruba (a Southern Caribbean cruise--most of which leave out of San Juan), Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya (Western Caribbean).  Of all of those my favorite itinerary was Western Caribbean.  I enjoyed the Mayan ruins, the relaxation in Cozumel, and the stingrays in Grand Cayman.  My favorite 2 individual stops were Cozumel and St Thomas.  St Thomas has tons of shopping and everything is in walking distance.  Cozumel was just a wonderful island and I could have spent a week there.

Our next cruise will be Antigua and St Lucia.  We have only left out of Florida and San Juan, but you could easily leave from Galveston or New Orleans.  I have not heard good things from the New England departures as you have many days at sea and the water is much rougher down the Atlantic.

There are hundreds of other stops.   Key West, lots of other Caribbean islands, other countries in Latin America (Honduras, Guatemala, etc), Bahamas, Bermuda.  You can cruise the Mexican Rivera, around Hawaii or Alaska cruises, Mediterranean cruises which are even split b/t eastern and western as well.  Some go Spain, French riveria, Italy.  Some do mostly Greek Isles.  Some do Eqypt, Turkey, Greece.  Antarctic cruises, New Zealand/Australia, Asia.  You can also take transition cruises where they are moving the cruise ship so that is not a normal itinerary--it might travel transatlantic or through the Panama Canal to Cali.  It will have a different start and stop.

There are also smaller cruiselines that go to less "touristy" destinations (Costa, Cunard, Windjammer) and fewer people.  Working cruises where you get to actually learn how to sail and move the sails yourself.  And cruises to nowhere.

It all depends on what interests you!  There is a cruise for everyone.  Good luck!

If you find a cruise that interests you--check out reviews

    www.cruisemates.com

    www.cruisereviews.com

    www.cruiseaddicts.com

    and the absolutely best site

    www.cruisecritic.com

You can get opinions on exactly what people thought of that particular ship--lots of good reviews on how much they hated NCL.  a couple reviews from that person who actually enjoyed NCL.  Great debates on Carnival vs Royal.  The elitist who only like Celebrity.

Cruises are great.  Theme cruises for fans (sports team, a band), singles cruises, family cruises.  I know if you were looking to limit your choices this smorgasborg of options doesn't help any but there really is a cruise for every interest.  Enjoy!
