There are literally hundreds of kinds of insurance.  Life, health, disability, accident, indemnity, long term health, long term disability, home owners, renters, vehicle (including Aircraft, boat, SHIP [just in case you have a cargo ship you need insured], car, commercial vehicles) earthquake, and the list goes on and on.  

Then, to add to your confusion and complication, each of the aforementioned has specific rates related to them under different applicable circumstances.
