Rome total war, and Medieval Total war 2, turn based RTS game. You command the armies of cavalry, war dogs, infantry and archers to crush the enemy. Lay siege to towns and build your empire. Initiate diplomatic relations between other nations (trade rights, map information) and manage your cities to keep them from riot. They really are fantastic games with huge variety in units and different factions to play as - I strongly recommend you look up some reviews on game spot. Also the barbarian invasion expansion for rome is excellent.

resident evil 4 is a good offline game for PC and all the other RE's as well.
