Name change.?

im changing my name, so that means i have to change my bank card, medicare and passport. i know name changing cost abt $40 and something but changing passport and other details i dont know, would you have any idea?

  2. What you need to do will depend on why you are changing your name, and what part of the country you are in.

    If you are in NSW, firstly you need to fill out a form from the NSW REGISTRY OF BIRTHS DEATHS AND MARRIAGES. You need to send the completed form in to them with a Post Office Money Order (or Credit Card details) made out for the fee amount.

    They will then send you your new ID (similar to a birth certificate), which is legally acceptable proof of identity which you can then use to change your driver's license, bank card, Medicare, passport card etc. You do these by contacting the organisations directly and providing them with a copy of your new ID.

    If you are not in NSW, you still need to contact the relevant department in your state, as they will have a similar set-up. I have provided the necessary links below.
