  1. The problem with spelling Devin with a y, is it's more commonly  used for girls.  Deven(which is a fairly new spelling) and Devon are more common with boys.  My oldest son's name is Devon.  When he was in kindergarten there was a little girl in his class named Devin(they couldn't have put them in different classes?).  Devon, 74% of people with the name, are typically male.  Using the y looks like you're trying to make it feminine. I have a niece named Aidyn(who was supposed to be a boy, Aidan), when she turned out to be a girl they kept the same name and made it more feminine by using the y.  If you insist on using the y, Devyn doesn't look nearly as feminine as Devynn.  There are lots of other names that have a y, that are male like Bryan, Ryan, Hayden, you could even do something like Jayson or Grayson...... names that people would assume male.  Or, at least, not assume female right away.  That's taking a chance, everyone will think your precious baby boy is a girl, at least until you correct them.....just because of how his name is spelt.  Dwyght isn't  a female name, ever, so it just looks like Dwight with a y, not like it could be female.  just my opinion...Hope I helped.  Good Luck!

  2. I would think of Devyn as a girls name. and Elysha looks like a girls name too.

  3. Devyn for a boy.  If you were naming a girl Devynn, I think the double ns would be appropriate.  Since you're having a son, I like the single n.

  4. Devyn is probably one of the better ones to add a "Y" into it. I like it

  5. Love Devyn (for a girl).  It was one of the names on my list until I realized it is too close to my son Evan's name.

  6. Devyn

    looks the best

    xx

  7. Devyn.  My brother is Kevyn and I like it. Just be sure that when he's born, you spell it out for people.

  8. Defintely Devyn. I like it spelt that way the best! Elysha is a cute name too! Good luck!

  9. My opinion is that it's terrible to saddle anyone with a misspelled name.

  10. I understand that you want to continue the tradition of using a y in the names however, I would personally stick with Devin. My goddaughter is named Devyn. It is the female version of a Scottish name.

  11. For Devin, I'd just stick with the "i".  So many names, the "y" will work, but it just doesn't look right with the name Devin for some reason...seems more feminine.

  12. Please spell it Devin or Devon. The Y trend is horrible and trashy.

  13. for a boy i dont think that devyn is good i think it should stay with th ei

  14. Denen

    OR

    Devon

      OR

    Devyn

  15. no offense elysha sounds like Alicia not Elijah

and devon should be spelled DEVON

and devyn or devynn sounds like dev-yin

but otherwise, i pick devynn :)
