Name for a little girl?

The name is:

Alba

The name is actually from the book, "A Time Traveler's Wife" and is the name of Henry & Clare's daughter. They decide upon the name after reading the OED. They want a clean name, unwritten, and choose this name.

It has two very romantic meanings: A song sung by troubadours to their mistresses & white city upon a hill. While I didn't love it before, I've grown to love the sound.

it has a very pretty meaning but IMO it's a last name, so I would say either don't use it or use it as a middle name.

I read that book, and I remember Alba as the sweetest, most beautiful, smart child.  

Besides that, the name brings special memories for the girl's parents.  Alba will  always know the history of her name, and when she's older, she'll read the story herself and understand that her name has a special connection.

make sure the name fits her  dont get set on a name you need to have others in mind. my daughter was supposed to be koral but she came out with brown hair and i thought koral would look better with a blonde haired girl so we had mayzie ready incase.  you need to make sure the name fits with the look.
