Question:

Name for being able to move your eyes seperately...?

Random but….

I’m able to move my eyes independent of each other. E.g. if I go cross eyed, I can then rotate one eye whilst keeping the other focused in a fixed position and vice versa. Does anyone know if there is a medical term for this strange party trick?

No particular reason other than just being interested!

Thanks

  1. The only word I can think of is "Eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwyuck" :-)

  2. Anyone with normalvision can do that.  You simply fixate an object in the distance and then accommodate causing the other eye to turn in.  This is not esophoria.

  3. Back in the day we used to call it Googly eyed ;-)

  4. Loose eyeball syndrome?

  5. You are an alien.

    The word is weird.

  6. Esophoria is a condition of the interior recti muscles being stronger than the lateral ones, causing the eyes to cross inward; exophoria is the opposite causing the eyes to drift outward.
