Name of 80's Educational tv show?

Question

There was a show on when I was a kid that I'm trying to figur eout the name of. The things I remember:

- They were looking for the boy's uncle who had disappeared

- I believe they were searching an old newspaper office

- The opening credits show a a ghost writing something on a window
