Name of Person Calling?

Question

How can i find out who is calling my house Ive looked up the number and it says the number is registered in New Jersey and that verizon is the provider but it won,t give me a name. Ive called the number back and the girl answered and said her name was Tammy but she said i had the wrong number but she keeps calling and i think maybe she is looking for my old man and it is causing stress in my relationship

well if i was at work, i could help u more, but just go to yellowpages.com or anywho.com. do a reverse look-up. It will tell you who it is. Sometimes if u just type an area code and phone number in your address bar it will come right up as reverse lookup automatically.

its called caller id. if you lived in canada you could of Canada 411.com'd it. \

You can block the number from calling your phone.  Contact your phoe company and ask how to block, there may be a charge per number.  my neighbor had to do this and told me about it.

call and get the number blocked!! ihad similar prob and just phoned my network provider and they were happy to do it!!

If she keeps calling, you can notify you telephone carrier that you are getting harassing calls. You can also file a police report. Her number is not published, but it is showing up on the caller ID. The telephone carrier should be able to provide you with that information if she is calling frequently.

sounds like u already know "who" she is... try answering the phone when she calls then immediately hanging it up.  was in a relationship once where something similar was happening and we both did that to the "anonymous caller" and eventually they quit.  when they realize they weren't creating the "stir" they were trying to and eventually went away.

Not sure how to find a name, but here's a thought.  Next time you get a call from that phone number, call it back.  Whoever answers it (if it's the Tammy person) just let them know that you have been getting calls from that number and will not tolerate it anymore.  Also mention that you are going to the police to file a report because it is harrassment.  

Usually callers get freaked out and stop.
