I live in Colorado Springs, CO and recently found a spider in my refrigerator that looked like a tarantula. Large thick body, thick legs, very hairy. It was black and had 3 yellow dots on it's back. It was about the size of a nickel. I've seen a lot of jumping spiders and it definitly wasn't one. I believe it may have traveled with fruit given that it was alive in the fridge. Or it could have just wandered in while the door was open. Anyone have any idea what type of spider it was. I can't find any pics of it on the net.

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_gard...  Did it look like this?

I looked around on google and I got this link....

  2. It sounds like a big jumping spider (they can get 3/4 inch), maybe like this one: http://images.whatsthatbug.com/images/ju...
