I saw a movie on tv the other day, but just the second half of it. they never said the name but it was about these four girls who were like preteens and one of them was a total tomboy and her parents had died another was kind of chubby and she was like a total prep and there was another one, her name was sam and I think there was a fourth but there was this guy named Crazy pete and they saw him alot and he helped them and then they go to the graveyard to find out who this guy is.. and i don't remember that much i saw it on like wgn or something. i was bored. by the way the girls had like this treehouse, too...

Captain Howdy is correct  - NOW AND THEN is one of my fave movies! The girls as adults are: Demi Moore, Rosie O'Donnell, Melanie Griffith and Tom Hanks' wife - can;t remember her name. Excellent movie. The clue-breaker in your summary was "Crazy Pete" - he hung out in the cemetery and saved one of the girls who fell down a street drain trying to retrieve a bracelet she dropped ...
