Name of a movie. i don't remember much?

a long time ago i watch a movie about a black lady who is a alcoholic and drug addict who gave birth to a baby boy. she left him in a dumpster in a box to do something. (i forgot)

she came back to the dumpster to find the baby but the dumpster truck took the garbage with the baby.

nothing happen to the baby .

a white lady took care of him.

that's all i remember .. does anyone know this movie. its old. in the 90's.
